At Cajara Design we have the capability of laser cut and engrave a wide variety of materials. Very complicated and intricate designs can be laser cut in a matter of minutes with extreme precision, saving your time and money.

The design possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Here are some samples of projects that could benefit from the use of our laser cutting and engraving services:

LASER CUT

-Custom stencils. Maylar, polycarbonate (lexan), any clear plastic film

-Inlays for fine furniture, musical instruments. Wood. wood and plastic veneers, melamine, etc.

-Templates for luthiers and fine woodworking. Wood, acrylic, polycarbonate.

-Custom gaskets. Hard to find gaskets can be easily cut out of cork, foam, gasket material, cardboard or rubber.

-Hobby parts. Balsa wood, acrylics, cardboard, plastics for airplanes, boats, cars, dioramas, doll houses.

LASER ENGRAVE

-Recognition plaques, name plates, trophies. Acrylic, wood, marble, tile, glass and coated metals like anodized aluminum.

- Pens, pencils, pen cases, pen holders. Wood, plastic, coated metals.

-Photo frames, keepsake boxes, tobacco humidors and urns. Wood, marble, coated metals, acrylics, glass.

-Anodized metals. Labels, name plates, key chains, Maglite flashlights, knives, etc.

-Control panels and identification tags. For electronic equipment, aviation, cars, etc. Control panels and tags made of coated metals and laser engraved are much more resistant to wear and fade out than those painted with silk-screen.

-Rubber stamps. Custom made rubber stamps at a fraction of the cost.

General guide:

-The following formats are accepted: .dwg, .dxf, .ai, .cdr, .eps. Name each file with a distinctive name, include the number of pieces you want and the material from which it should be cut. For laser cut is necessary to transform the line art into a clean vector line, avoid having one line over the other, double lines will cut double!. Please delete all unnecessary layers.

-Dimensions are very important for cutting precise parts, please keep the scale 1:1 or include one dimension for size reference. We can cut parts up to 32"x20", that is the working area of our laser, you can draw a rectangle 32"x20" and place your artwork inside it or we can set up the parts for you.

-Keep in mind that the laser will charred the edges of some materials like wood or cardboard, usually this is not a problem if the material is very thin like veneer. Acrylic, styrene or plastic cuts very clean.

-We have in stock a wide variety of materials however if your project requires specific materials you can supplied it to us or we can ordered it from a vendor.
